Saudi Arabia:  Ocean Race 2027 to conclude at AMAALA

Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind AMAALA and The Red Sea, has announced that AMAALA will host the grand finale of the renowned Ocean Race in 2027. Established in 1973, The Ocean Race is celebrated for its demanding routes and strong commitment to ocean conservation efforts, and its 2027 finish at AMAALA will highlight both its adventurous spirit and environmental mission.

Located on Saudi Arabia's west coast, AMAALA is emerging as a world-class destination focused on sports, wellness, and nature conservation. Red Sea Global is actively preserving the Red Sea’s ecosystems by restoring coral reefs and planting mangrove forests. By 2040, the goal is a 30% net conservation benefit at AMAALA.

The race will start in Alicante, Spain, in January 2027, covering multiple global destinations before arriving at AMAALA in the northern Red Sea. Its final leg, expected to be exhilarating, will traverse sea-breezes to reach AMAALA, covering approximately 135 nautical miles from Port Said, Egypt, through the Suez Canal.
