Arabia’s Amaala Island to open doors to visitors in 2025
The ambitious $6.1 billion Amaala
tourist destination, spanning 4,200 square kilometers along Saudi Arabia's Red
Sea coast, is set to open its doors to visitors in 2025, according to Red Sea
Global, the project's developer.
Currently, more than $6.1 billion in
contracts have been awarded, with significant progress made on 35 kilometers of
internal roads, as well as essential infrastructure including power, water,
irrigation, and communications.

Once finished, Amaala will feature
eight resorts stretching over 68 kilometers of coastline, offering 4,000 hotel
rooms across 30 establishments and 1,200 homes.
The “Wellness Core” area of the
development is about 80% complete, including a hotel designed by Foster +
Partners. Final touches are being added to the central marina and yacht club,
while landscaping work is underway at the Four Seasons hotel in the Triple Bay
central zone.

The entire project will be powered
by solar energy, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately half a
million tonnes annually. Additionally, Red Sea Global has committed to using
carbon-negative concrete pavers for Amaala.
