Saudi Arabia launches new campaign to lure tourists from India
Saudi Arabia has launched its
first-ever marketing campaign aimed specifically at Indian tourists, titled Shaandaar
(Spectacular) Saudi. Unveiled in Mumbai, the campaign promotes Saudi Arabia
as a year-round destination for Indian families, culture lovers, adventurers,
and food enthusiasts.
As part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision
2030 plan, the campaign seeks to diversify the economy and attract 150 million
tourists by 2030, with a target of 7.5 million visitors from India alone.
Recognizing the importance of food in travel, the campaign highlights Indian
restaurants and vegetarian-friendly options across Saudi Arabia, ensuring that
Indian tourists feel at home.

attractions for Indian travelers, from ancient temples to futuristic cities.
Special experiences are also being created to cater to Indian tourists,
emphasizing hospitality, festivals, and year-round activities.
To make travel easier, the campaign
includes visa facilitation with Tasheer kiosks in India, which process Saudi
visas within 48 hours. Indian travelers with valid visas for the U.S., UK, or
Schengen countries are also eligible for eVisas or visa-on-arrival.
Additionally, Saudi carriers Saudia and Flynas are offering special travel

With the rapid rise of India’s
middle class, the campaign taps into a growing and affluent demographic eager
for new travel experiences. India’s middle class is expected to comprise 60% of
the population by 2047, making it a prime market for Saudi Arabia’s tourism
ambitions.
