Riyadh to host second edition of ‘Saudi Film Forum’ in October

The Film Commission is set to launch the second edition of the "Saudi Film Forum" from October 9 to 12 in Riyadh. Held under the patronage of Prince Badr bin Farhan, Minister of Culture, the event will bring together leading specialists, Arab and international filmmakers, and industry pioneers.

The forum aims to empower and develop Saudi Arabia’s film industry, fostering investment opportunities and partnerships in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. This vision seeks to build a thriving future for the film and arts sector within Saudi Arabia.

As a key platform for the industry, the forum will enhance collaboration between production companies, technology providers, and other stakeholders. It seeks to advance the sector by offering filming and production opportunities, building global connections, and strengthening the industry’s infrastructure. It also aims to support emerging companies and launch innovative, value-added projects.

Over 30 panel discussions and workshops will delve into topics like film financing and industry regulation, providing in-depth insights into various aspects of filmmaking. A series of accompanying events will enrich attendees’ experience and introduce them to the diverse facets of the industry.

The forum will also feature an exhibition showcasing over 130 local, regional, and international entities specializing in production, smart studio construction, and cinematic technologies, highlighting the latest innovations and opportunities in the field.

Following the success of the previous edition, the 2024 Saudi Film Forum will emphasize the economic role of the growing film industry and attract a global network of experts to exchange knowledge with their Saudi counterparts.
