NEOM showcases modern airport technologies to Jawazat chief  

Lieutenant General Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Yahya, Director General of Passports (Jawazat), embarked on a visit to NEOM, the pioneering sustainable development in northwest Saudi Arabia.

Warmly received by NEOM's CEO, Nadhmi Al-Nasr, Al-Yahya's tour encompassed NEOM Bay Airport and its cutting-edge command-and-control center, among other notable facilities.

Throughout his visit, Al-Yahya explored the latest advancements at NEOM Bay Airport, with a special focus on its upcoming contactless eGates. These gates leverage high-resolution cameras to capture travelers' biometrics, thus streamlining passport control.

Currently undergoing trials, this system promises a frictionless travel experience for international visitors and positions Saudi Arabia at the forefront of nations implementing advanced automated border control systems.

The visit highlighted the ongoing partnership between NEOM and Jawazat, aimed at enriching the traveler experience through knowledge sharing and the integration of leading-edge technologies.
