Trojena redefining winter sports possibilities in Gulf
Cooperation Council (GCC) region
Neom's Trojena Ski Village is leading a groundbreaking shift
in ski resort architecture within Saudi Arabia, situated at the heart of the
ambitious Neom project. As the Gulf Cooperation Council's (GCC) premier outdoor
ski resort, Trojena is not only redefining winter sports possibilities in the
region but also pushing the boundaries of architectural creativity.
Crafted by the renowned firm Aedas, Trojena epitomizes Saudi
Arabia's dedication to achieving the seemingly unattainable. Featuring a
horizontal skyscraper spanning over 170 kilometers and housing the world's
inaugural "vertical ski village," the Kingdom is rewriting the norms
of development.
This $500 billion gigaproject pledges an unparalleled
experience, offering 36 kilometers of authentic snow for year-round skiing,
alongside a plethora of amenities such as retail outlets, dining venues,
luxurious accommodations, and more. Divided into five interconnected zones
through innovative design, Trojena aims to host up to 700,000 visitors and
accommodate 7,000 residents within the next five years.

integration with the natural landscape. Situated near the Sarawat Mountains in
Neom, the ski village provides stunning vistas and a blend of real and
artificial snow, ensuring optimal skiing conditions throughout the year.
Trojena extends beyond skiing, featuring a
2.8-kilometer-long freshwater lake, poised to become the largest in the region.
It will showcase luxury hotel properties from Marriott International, Inc.,
including Saudi Arabia's inaugural W Hotel and a JW Marriott property.
