Situated atop the stunning 200m-high Tuwaiq cliff in Qiddiya City, a mere 40 minutes from Riyadh, this futuristic venue, designed by leading global architectural firm Populous, is poised to be the world's first fully integrated venue featuring a combined retractable roof, pitch, and LED wall. This innovative architectural approach provides unparalleled versatility, allowing rapid transformation into different "event modes."

The LED wall serves as a gateway to live event broadcasts, high-definition films, and laser shows, offering guests a novel, immersive experience with each visit. When inactive, it unveils breathtaking views of Qiddiya City. The stadium aims to redefine the traditional spectator experience, drawing global visitors and revolutionizing stadium events with its immersive design and unique technological features.

Upon opening, the stadium is expected to host major sports, entertainment, and cultural events, positioning itself as a global destination. Abdullah bin Nasser Aldawood, QIC Managing Director, emphasized the ambition for Qiddiya City to become a global hub for entertainment, sports, and culture, with the stadium embodying the Power of Play philosophy through state-of-the-art technology and innovative design.

As the home ground for Saudi Pro League football clubs Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr, the stadium is a proposed venue for the Kingdom's 2034 FIFA World Cup bid. It is set to host major sports events like the Saudi King Cup, the Asian Cup, and potentially the 2034 Asian Games.

With climate-controlled facilities, the venue can host events year-round, featuring an eco-friendly cooling lake beneath the stadium, using rainwater capture for pre-cooling. The estimated 1.8 million annual visits to the stadium and six million visits to other activities align with Vision 2030's goals, fostering tourism and job creation.
