Saudi Arabia to stride past many nations in development: Diriyah Group's CEO, Jerry Inzerillo

In the quest for rapid transformation, the Diriyah Group's CEO, Jerry Inzerillo, highlighted Saudi Arabia's ambitious vision, drawing a parallel with Singapore's 60-year journey, aiming to achieve similar milestones in just 15 years. The insights were shared during the Media Oasis event, organized by the Saudi Ministry of Media, focusing on the Kingdom's economic, development, and cultural transformation.

The event, held at the Pavillon Vendome in Paris ahead of the Bureau International des Expositions' announcement of the Expo 2030 host country, brought together a delegation of Saudi ministers, Riyadh's mayor, and leaders from Saudi megaproject companies.

The discussions centered around the latest and upcoming projects under Vision 2030, showcasing what Saudi Arabia will look like by 2030 and why Riyadh is poised to host the next world expo.

Diriyah Season spotlights the living heritage of the kingdom's birthplace

The Media Oasis event featured sections covering hospitality, culture, sport, and key entities like Riyadh Expo 2030, Diriyah, NEOM, the Ministry of Sport, and Visit Saudi. Among these, Diriyah stands out as a model for urban development and cultural renaissance, aligning with the Kingdom's transformation objectives.

Jerry Inzerillo emphasized the significance of winning the bid to host Expo 2030, stating that the work has now begun to complete the ambitious projects by 2030. Inzerillo acknowledged the challenges, particularly in terms of manpower, but expressed confidence in Saudi Arabia's young and highly educated population. Comparing the accelerated pace of transformation, he noted that what Singapore achieved in 60 years and the Emiratis accomplished in 30 years in tourism, the Crown Prince aims to achieve in just 15 years.

Looking ahead, Inzerillo highlighted the ongoing projects, including NEOM and the Red Sea, emphasizing that Diriyah will be globally recognized by 2030. The city of Riyadh is also expected to undergo significant transformation, becoming one of the prominent G20 cities worldwide under the Crown Prince's leadership.
