Diriyah to celebrate Saudi National Day under the slogan 'Pride and Unity'
Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA)
is preparing a series of events to mark Saudi National Day on Wednesday under
the slogan “Pride and Unity,” bringing together military
displays, cultural activities and experiences highlighting the Kingdom’s
history and heritage.
The
celebrations will take place at several locations across Diriyah and will
feature a military parade organized in cooperation with the Ministry of
Interior. The parade will proceed toward Wadi Hanifah along Al Imam Abdulaziz
bin Muhammad ibn Saud Road, with residents and visitors able to watch the
procession from designated areas along the route.
The
program will also include equestrian displays, while security personnel will be
present to help ensure the safety and organization of the event.

The
parade route carries particular historical significance, passing several
heritage sites before reaching Wadi Hanifah, an area closely associated with
the founding and settlement of Diriyah. The route also runs along Al Imam
Abdulaziz bin Muhammad ibn Saud Road, named after a leader of the First Saudi
State, connecting the celebrations with key figures and landmarks in Diriyah’s
history.
Through
the National Day program, DGDA is highlighting Diriyah’s historical and
cultural heritage while strengthening the community’s connection to the area
and its significance in the Kingdom’s history.
The
celebrations bring together Diriyah’s heritage and its contemporary
development, offering an opportunity to commemorate Saudi Arabia’s history
while emphasizing values of belonging, national pride and social cohesion
across generations.
