Saudia to operate 20 extra flights between Riyadh, Jeddah and Red Sea destination

Saudi Arabia’s national carrier has announced additional flights linking major cities with the Red Sea tourism destination during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday period.

Saudia said it will operate 20 extra flights between Riyadh, Jeddah, and the Red Sea Destination. With the added services, the total number of flights on these routes will rise to 44 during the holiday season.

The move is part of a joint initiative with the Saudi Tourism Authority and Red Sea Global aimed at promoting top tourism destinations across the Kingdom.

The Red Sea Destination is a major luxury tourism project on Saudi Arabia’s west coast, developed by Red Sea Global and backed by the country’s sovereign wealth fund, the Public Investment Fund. It forms part of Saudi Arabia’s broader Saudi Vision 2030 plan to diversify the economy and expand tourism.

Once fully completed by 2030, the development will include 50 resorts offering about 8,000 hotel rooms and more than 1,000 residential properties spread across 22 islands and six inland locations. The entire destination is designed to run entirely on renewable energy.

According to the airline, travelers flying to the Red Sea Destination will benefit from Saudia’s integrated guest services, including AI-driven digital tools for personalized travel planning, streamlined airport processes, and onboard experiences reflecting Saudi hospitality along with a wide range of entertainment options.

The initiative highlights a long-term partnership between Saudia and the Saudi Tourism Authority to strengthen tourism through increased flight connectivity, higher seat capacity, and distinctive travel experiences that showcase the Kingdom’s culture.
