Saudi Arabia: Qiddiya Company officially
begins construction on Performing Arts Center
Qiddiya Investment Company
has officially begun construction on the Performing Arts Center at Qiddiya
City, marking a significant milestone in the destination’s evolution as a hub
for entertainment, sport, and culture.
The announcement was made during a foundation
stone–laying ceremony at the project site, dramatically positioned along the
edge of the Tuwaiq Mountains. Managing Director Abdullah Aldawood confirmed the
start of works, which will be delivered by Nesma & Partners.
He described the center as a transformative addition that will elevate
Qiddiya’s cultural landscape and broaden its creative offerings.
A cultural anchor for Qiddiya
The Performing Arts Center is central to
Qiddiya City’s ambition to become a leading destination for artistic expression
and creativity. Beyond hosting world-class productions, the venue aims to

Designed by Tom
Wiscombe Architecture in collaboration with BSBG, the center features a
bold, futuristic aesthetic. Monumental interlocking panels and five illuminated
“blades” define the structure, blending contemporary design with the
surrounding desert landscape to create a striking cultural landmark.
Building momentum
Construction
of the Performing Arts Center follows the launch of Qiddiya City’s first phase
in December 2025, which included the opening of Six
Flags Qiddiya City. The new venue forms part of Qiddiya
Investment Company’s broader strategy to develop integrated destinations that
enhance quality of life while delivering immersive experiences across
entertainment, sport, and the arts.
