sports development in the region. This agreement focuses on enhancing sports
programs, creating engaging content, exploring joint investment opportunities,
and evaluating ways to host major global events that will elevate AlUla’s
profile on the international sports stage.
The memorandum sets out a long-term framework
for cooperation in sports investment, covering the planning, implementation,
and evaluation of initiatives. The goal is to diversify AlUla’s sports sector
and strengthen its reputation as a prime destination for international
competitions and high-profile events.

AlUla-SURJ Sports Partnership
The partnership targets multiple sports and
event opportunities, including the potential hosting of the PFL MENA series in AlUla. Other areas of focus
include expanding sports like tennis, polo, cycling, athletics, and show
jumping, with all projects aligning with the strategic objectives of the Royal
Commission.
In
addition to event hosting, the collaboration will explore investment prospects
tied to sports content and services. This includes recovery and rehabilitation
programs, high-performance training camps, and related media products. The
overarching aim is to secure more international championships and ensure AlUla
becomes a key fixture on global sporting calendars.
