and historical journey

Born in At-Turaif in the late 12th
century AH, Prince Turki bin Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Saud grew up
in a world defined by courage and horsemanship. Raised under the guidance of
Imam Saud bin Abdulaziz, who led the military campaigns of the First Saudi
State, Prince Turki's early years were shaped by the era’s strong military
ethos.
The palace named after Prince Turki
lies in the southern section of At-Turaif District. Built in the early 13th
century AH, it employs traditional Najdi construction methods, featuring mud
bricks, stone, and tamarisk wood. The structure is a two-story building
centered around a spacious open courtyard.
With its wide gates and multiple
exits, the palace reflects the security needs and social customs of its time.
Inside, the rooms and corridors contain a mix of private living spaces, formal
reception areas, and service sections, each rich with architectural details
that speak to the leadership, bravery, and determination of the First Saudi
State.
