Scruffy Dog Creative Group has unveiled details of its extensive show integration package for Six Flags Qiddiya City in Saudi Arabia, featuring large-scale scenic elements, animatronic encounters, and kinetic sculptures designed to enhance the park’s storytelling environments.
Crafted from reinforced composites and engineered frameworks, each feature
was finished to withstand the region’s climate while ensuring durability for
heavy guest use. The package was developed in partnership with Qiddiya
Investment Company and AtkinsRéalis, covering technical design, fabrication,
logistics, and on-site installation, with detailed engineering to balance
creative vision and operational performance.

simulate a working astronomical device.
Other standout features include:
·
Façade Wheel
Machine – a kinetic sculpture with smooth, continuous rotation and
programmable lighting.
·
Crocodile Encounter
– a water-based show with hydraulically animated figures and splash effects.
·
Steam Town Clock
– a drive-powered animated centrepiece combining motion, audio, and
programmable lighting.
·
Crater Pits
– bubbling tar pits with integrated animated and lighting effects.
·
Jeep Rocker
– a full-scale vehicle mounted on a motion base, synchronized with lighting and
audio cues.
Dylan Lardner-Burke, Managing Director of Production at Scruffy Dog Creative
Group, commented:
“This project required close collaboration between design, engineering,
fabrication, and delivery teams. Working with partners in Riyadh and abroad, we
successfully brought to life complex animated features and large-scale scenic
sets that match the ambition of Six Flags Qiddiya City.”
