Tabuk Tigers claim title in NEOM community cricket program
The Tabuk Tigers emerged victorious over the NESMA Fighters to claim the
title in the second season of the NEOM community cricket program, a
collaboration with the Indian Premier League's Rajasthan Royals.
The final, attended by cricket legends Rahul Dravid and Kumar Sangakkara,
concluded a six-month competition with 146 matches. The event was held before a
crowd of 2,000 spectators and featured an exhibition match between two
all-female teams.
Participation in the program surged by 85% from its inaugural season in
2023, with 84 teams from over 150 companies competing in the fast-paced T10
format.

Prince Saud bin Mishal Al-Saud, chairman of the Saudi Arabian Cricket
Federation, highlighted the broader impact of the initiative. "By
fostering a vibrant cricket community, we aim to inspire greater participation
and solidify cricket as a central pillar of the Kingdom’s sports
aspirations," he said.
Jan Paterson, managing director of NEOM Sport, emphasized the program’s role
in creating opportunities for all. “This partnership with Rajasthan Royals
reflects our commitment to building an inclusive community and using sport as a
catalyst for growth. Through cricket, we are strengthening community bonds and
advancing NEOM’s vision of a physically active society.”
Rajasthan Royals owner Manoj Badale noted, “This collaboration is more than
just about cricket; it’s about encouraging participation, inclusivity, and
active lifestyles. Cricket has the power to unite and inspire, and we are proud
to be part of an initiative that has brought the NEOM community closer
