Enowa, the utility and energy
subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s Neom project, has received new bids from EPC

According to MEED, companies such as
PowerChina, Alfanar Company, and Orascom submitted proposals on October 30.

This marks the second round of
bidding for the project, following an addendum issued by Enowa after initial
negotiations. The planned Oxagon Village facility will feature several critical
components: a wastewater truck receiving area, pretreatment units with screening
and equalization, a biological treatment system using food chain reactor
technology, tertiary treatment, sludge handling, and recycled water storage
tanks. Supporting infrastructure will also be included, such as internal roads,
office spaces, and educational centers.
This project is distinct from the
Hidden Marina wastewater recycling plant, which Neom is developing through a
public-private partnership to support The Line, Neom’s visionary
170-kilometer-long city. The Hidden Marina facility will be capable of treating
up to 64,000 cubic meters of wastewater daily, with an eventual capacity of
80,000 cubic meters. The first phase is estimated to cost around $347 million.
