Neom’s mountain resort to offer luxury residences in early next year
Neom’s vision for Trojena, Saudi Arabia’s ambitious mountain resort, is progressing rapidly with the first apartments and villas set to go on sale in early 2025. Trojena, part of the larger Neom mega-project, is slated to open in 2027, just ahead of the 2029 Asian Winter Games, with its sights set on attracting affluent Saudis and high-net-worth buyers from the region.
At a real estate forum in Riyadh,
Simon Howard, Trojena’s head of sales, shared the excitement for the upcoming
launch: “We’re looking forward to bringing Trojena’s first residential product
to market early in the New Year, beginning with ski village apartments and
followed closely by the Slope Residence chalets.”

These residential offerings will
include a variety of options, from studio apartments to spacious six-bedroom
units, as well as chalets ranging from 200 to 800 square meters. In total,
Trojena plans to release over 700 private apartments and 130 serviced units in
batches throughout the year, with Howard noting that “there will be something
for everyone in that first release.”
Neom’s vision is backed by a
substantial $500 billion investment and includes not only Trojena but also The
Line, a futuristic linear city; Oxagon, an industrial hub; and Magna, a
collection of luxury resorts along the Gulf of Aqaba. Recently, Neom raised $24
billion from private sector investors and secured a hotel management deal with
Singapore’s GHM for Trojena.
Despite facing funding challenges
linked to fluctuating oil prices and increased investment in Riyadh following
the city’s successful Expo 2030 bid, Neom is progressing with construction. The
mega-city, located in Saudi Arabia’s northwest, covers an area comparable to
Belgium and now accounts for one-fifth of the world’s steel production. As part
of these efforts, Trojena recently signed a massive 129,000-ton steel contract,
with the first shipments arriving in June, according to Neom's head of
marketing, Clark Williams.

residential launch on the horizon, Neom aims to set a new standard in luxury real
estate for Saudi Arabia and the region.
