NASA and Saudi Arabia sign space collaboration agreement
NASA and Saudi Arabia have signed a significant agreement to enhance
collaboration in space exploration, aligning with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.
Announced by NASA on July 16, the agreement sets the legal framework for
mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries. While specific
details remain undisclosed, the partnership will focus on space science,
exploration, aeronautics, space operations, education, and Earth science.

NASA Administrator Bill Nelson, who signed the agreement on behalf of the
U.S., stated, "This new agreement outlines how we'll work together and
explore together for the benefit of humanity."
Nelson visited Saudi Arabia in May, following trips to Italy and Vatican
City, to emphasize the importance of civil space cooperation for the broader
U.S.-Saudi relationship.
Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swaha, Chair of the Saudi Space Agency, remarked,
"The agreement represents a turning point in the Kingdom's journey towards
building a strong and prosperous space sector. It reflects the Kingdom's firm
commitment to progress and innovation in the field of space and its continuous
efforts to enhance its position as an important partner on the global stage for
space exploration and scientific discovery."
