Saudi Arabia's Neom project will feature green
flying taxis and four airports, integrating cutting-edge technology into the
megacity. The kingdom plans to invest $1.5 trillion in Neom, aiming to create a
futuristic metropolis.
Neom, one of the most extravagant among Saudi Arabia's mega
projects, is transforming the desert into ten innovative regions. This grand
vision includes a floating port city and a yachting hub.

The Line, a key attraction within Neom, is a 105-mile-long
urban development. To enhance international connectivity, Neom plans to
establish four airports. Currently, only Neom Bay Airport is operational, with
London Heathrow as its sole international destination, serviced by Saudia, the
kingdom's flag carrier. Saudia recently announced the largest aviation order in
Saudi history.
In addition to this, Saudi Arabia has launched a new
airline, Riyadh Air, to boost tourism and further investment in aviation.

Since 2021, Neom has partnered with Volocopter, a German
company developing electric vertical-takeoff-and-landing aircraft (eVTOLs),
commonly known as flying taxis. These green flying taxis will be
battery-powered, ensuring zero carbon emissions.
