UK’s Minister terms Saudi Vision 2030 'very exciting’
Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 is "very exciting,"
according to Britain's Minister of State for Business and Trade, Lord Dominic
Johnson. In
an exclusive interview with Al Arabiya, Johnson expressed his enthusiasm
for the transformative plan.
"Vision 2030 is very exciting. When I think about
Saudi, I'm really energized because there's just such an incredible vision for
the country's transformation," Johnson said.

Johnson is currently in Riyadh to attend Great Futures, a
major business, tourism, and cultural expo jointly hosted by the Saudi and
British governments. He encouraged UK university graduates to explore
opportunities in Saudi Arabia and "pursue their fortunes."
Regarding a potential British-GCC free trade agreement,
Johnson expressed strong optimism. "I'm very optimistic because the
relationships we have with the Gulf states are so strong, deep, and important
to both sides, and there's a huge amount of goodwill," he noted. "The
goodwill is absolutely there on all sides, and I'm really excited about
it."

Johnson also highlighted the importance of attracting GCC
sovereign wealth funds, including Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF),
the UAE’s Mubadala, and the Kuwait Investment Authority, to invest in Britain,
describing it as a top priority.
