Johnson is currently in Riyadh to attend Great Futures, a major business, tourism, and cultural expo jointly hosted by the Saudi and British governments. He encouraged UK university graduates to explore opportunities in Saudi Arabia and "pursue their fortunes."

Regarding a potential British-GCC free trade agreement, Johnson expressed strong optimism. "I'm very optimistic because the relationships we have with the Gulf states are so strong, deep, and important to both sides, and there's a huge amount of goodwill," he noted. "The goodwill is absolutely there on all sides, and I'm really excited about it."
