Saudi Arabia to produce modern mobile mortar systems

NTGS and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) defense conglomerate ERAF have joined forces in a partnership agreement focused on localizing the production and integration of the ALAKRAN mobile mortar system onto a suitable vehicle platform within Saudi Arabia.

The signing of the agreement, led by Juan Carlos Estrella, CEO of NTGS, and Fahad Al-Ameel, Vice-President of ERAF, marks a strategic step aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, aimed at bolstering the economy through the utilization of domestically sourced components and labor.

Under this collaboration, ERAF will take the helm in the local manufacturing process and exclusively distribute the ALAKRAN within Saudi Arabia, with a primary focus on supplying the Saudi Arabian Armed Forces.

According to the companies involved, the ALAKRAN stands out as a versatile and robust system, meticulously crafted to tackle critical tactical hurdles encountered on modern battlefields. Boasting fully digitalized and automated functionalities, the mortar system ensures user-friendly operation and has showcased its efficacy across diverse operational terrains, spanning urban, desert, forest, mountainous, and snowy landscapes.

With deployments in multiple active conflict zones globally, the ALAKRAN underscores its combat-tested capabilities and adaptability.

One of the system's remarkable attributes is its seamless integration onto nearly any 4×4 vehicle with a minimum 2-ton payload capacity. Leveraging patented technological innovations, the ALAKRAN outperforms its rivals by delivering superior mobility, precision, accuracy, firepower, and crew protection.
