Former BFI Executive Neil Peplow takes helm of talent development
at Neom Media Industries
Neil Peplow, former director of international and industry
affairs at the British Film Institute (BFI), has embarked on a new role as the
industry learning executive director at Neom Media Industries. This exclusive
move positions him at the forefront of talent development within the burgeoning
Saudi media hub.
In his capacity as industry learning executive director,
Peplow will lead initiatives to cultivate local talent at Neom and spearhead
the development of the Industry Vocational Learning campus within the rapidly
expanding production hub. Having previously served as the director and CEO of
the London Film School, Peplow brings a wealth of experience to his new role,
which is effective immediately. He has also recently relocated to Neom, the
$500 billion megacity taking shape in northwest Saudi Arabia.

talent, with over 700 Saudis benefiting from various initiatives and 350
participants gaining hands-on experience through production placements,
internships, and work experience opportunities.
Neil Peplow's career spans diverse roles in screen education
and production. Prior to his time at the BFI, he served as director of film at
Creative Skillset and held leadership positions at the Australian Film
Television and Radio School (AFTRS) and the Met Film School. Peplow's career
began as a producer at Gruber Films in the 1990s, where he contributed to
notable productions such as "Shooting Fish," "Waking Ned,"
"Dead Babies," "Mike Bassett: England Manager," "The
Abduction Club," and "Bright Young Things."
