Neom’s Tonomous and STC Group to work on satellite
connectivity
In an announcement made during the ongoing Future Investment
Initiative in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia's ambitious Neom project's technology
subsidiary, Tonomus, has joined forces with the stc group to establish a
multi-year agreement
for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite connectivity within
Saudi Arabia.
This collaborative effort equips the stc group with access
to LEO satellite capacity, enabling them to deliver high-speed internet, data
services, and business continuity solutions to government entities, major
corporations, and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Saudi Arabia.

group. As part of the agreement, the stc group has acquired rights to provide
and sell high-speed, low-latency satellite internet and data connectivity
throughout the Kingdom.
The stc group's statement highlighted that this endeavor
will enable the provision of internet access akin to fiber-optic connectivity
to residents residing in rural and remote areas, ultimately ensuring an
improved and seamless online experience.
