AMAALA, conceived and developed by Red Sea Global, spans an expansive area of 4,155 square kilometers, including 68 kilometers of pristine coastline. This project transcends mere sustainability; it aspires to have a regenerative impact on the environment, aiming to deliver a 30% net conservation benefit to local ecosystems by 2040. This will be accomplished through the enhancement of diverse habitats, encompassing mangroves, seagrass, corals, and land vegetation.

Employee Village Project: Red Sea Global has initiated work on the first phase of the Employee Village project, which provides premium accommodations for the dedicated hospitality, experiential, and support staff and their families who will oversee the destination.

Marina Village Project: Significant progress is being made on the Marina Village project, which serves as the urban core for Triple Bay, one of the three unique communities within AMAALA. Triple Bay will offer a holistic wellness retreat, cutting-edge diagnostic medical facilities, and treatments inspired by the local environment. It will also feature a fully integrated sports and entertainment community.

Red Sea Marine Life Institute: The excavation work for both Marina Village and The Red Sea Marine Life Institute, a scientific research center and tourist destination at AMAALA, is proceeding well. The Saudi developer reported that 85% of the main building raft for the institute has been completed, with various construction elements in progress.

Phase One of AMAALA, centered on the Triple Bay masterplan, is set to welcome its first guests in 2025. This phase comprises eight resorts with over 1,200 hotel keys.

Upon its completion, AMAALA will boast more than 3,900 hotel rooms across 29 hotels, alongside around 1,200 luxury residential villas, apartments, and estate homes. It will also feature high-end retail establishments, fine dining options, wellness centers, and recreational facilities. The entire destination will operate on 100% renewable energy, resulting in a significant reduction of CO2 emissions and a zero-carbon footprint when fully operational.

Several renowned hotel brands are part of AMAALA's year-round integrated wellness haven, including Clinique La Prairie Health Resort, Jayasom Wellness Resort, Rosewood AMAALA, Six Senses AMAALA, and Equinox Resort AMAALA.

Red Sea Global has already awarded construction contracts worth SAR 13.4 billion ($3.57 billion) for AMAALA, and this mega development is poised to elevate Saudi Arabia's tourism sector, contributing as much as SAR 11 billion ($3 billion) to the nation's GDP upon its completion in 2030. It is expected to create up to 50,000 new direct, indirect, and induced jobs, further solidifying Saudi Arabia's position on the global tourism map.
