Neom
Airlines to grow phase wise, partner with other Saudi airlines: CEO
Klaus
Goersch, Chief Executive Officer of Neom Airlines, sees the gradual growth of
the upcoming Saudi airline before going on a more aggressive expansion.
In his remarks published at Future Travel
Experience, the CEO shared the plan of starting of the airline operations at
the end of Q4 2024 or early 2025. The new, third national airline will
complement and have its own unique place alongside the established flag carrier
SAUDIA, and Riyadh International Airlines.
Klaus Goersch explained that Neom Airlines
will support the needs of Neom and its growing population as well as visitors
and international markets.
Neom Airlines will be based at Neom Bay
Airport and it will cater to the needs of businesses and leisure.
Goersch said: “We cooperate closely with
all NEOM stakeholders and projects to align our ‘go to market’ strategy. We are
aligning our requirements with the airport teams and working closely to ensure
that whatever operational plans are in the making, the airport is ready to
handle them.”
Goersch will give a keynote address at FTE EMEA and FTE Ancilliary
& Retailing at Dublin in late May where he will further explain the
approaches being taken by the new airline under him.
