Cleveland Clinic to help set up sports medicine centers in
Saudi Arabia

Investment Company (QIC) and Cleveland
Clinic have established a strategic advisory collaboration aimed at
supporting the development of world-class sports medicine and performance
centers in Saudi Arabia.
Under the agreement, Cleveland Clinic will provide
advisory expertise to support the design, development and operational planning
of advanced sports medicine and performance facilities. The collaboration will
initially focus on projects in Riyadh before extending to the planned Sports
Medicine Center of Excellence in Qiddiya City.
The initiative is intended to help establish an
integrated sports medicine and human-performance ecosystem capable of
supporting athletes across different levels, while contributing to the
development of healthcare, wellness and sports performance capabilities in the
Kingdom.

Investment Company, said the collaboration would contribute to the development
of an advanced sports medicine and performance ecosystem designed to support
athletes and promote health, wellness and human performance.
He added that the initiative aligns with Qiddiya’s
ambition to establish itself as a global City
for Play and supports the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
Tommaso Falcone, Executive Vice President and President
of International and Emerging Markets at Cleveland Clinic, said the
organization would share its expertise to help develop advanced care models
focused on improving athletic performance and longevity.
Falcone added that the collaboration could also
contribute to raising standards of sports medicine and healthcare across the
region.
The partnership comes as Saudi Arabia continues to
expand its sports, healthcare and entertainment infrastructure under Vision 2030.
The planned facilities are expected to strengthen the Kingdom’s capabilities in
sports medicine while supporting athletes through specialized healthcare,
performance and wellness services.
