Saudi Arabia’s Qiddiya city being developed as a fully integrated city
Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Dawood, Managing Director
of Qiddiya Investment Company, said the
Qiddiya project is pursuing a diversified funding strategy that includes the
Public Investment Fund (PIF) as the strategic investor, alongside private
sector and international investors. He noted that additional financing
announcements are expected in the near future.
Speaking during a government press conference,
Al-Dawood explained that the current phase of development is focused on
building core infrastructure, laying the groundwork for positioning Qiddiya as
a global hub for entertainment, sports, and culture.
He added that Qiddiya is being developed as a
fully integrated city across all developmental and economic dimensions, and is
expected to contribute more than SAR 35 billion to Saudi Arabia’s GDP and
generate over 300,000 jobs once all planned assets are completed.
