AlUla’s transformation under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 continues to gain momentum, as the AlUla Development Company (UDC) — a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) — has awarded the design and construction contract for the Diyar AlMahash project to Rezaik Abdullah Al Gedrawy Company.

Set to begin construction in 2025 and complete in 2027, Diyar AlMahash will offer a thoughtfully designed residential community that blends modern living with AlUla’s distinctive cultural and natural identity. The project will include a range of amenities such as a communal lounge, gym, swimming pools, minimarket, prayer room, and walking tracks, surrounded by desert landscaping that harmonizes with the AlMahash environment.

Architecturally, the project draws inspiration from AlUla’s rich heritage, using locally sourced materials and incorporating subtle façade patterns that reflect the region’s colours and textures. Sustainability remains central to its vision, with the development targeting LEED Gold certification in recognition of its environmentally responsible design.

“Diyar AlMahash is a cornerstone of our strategy to attract and retain top talent,” said Fabien Toscano, CEO of UDC. “It embodies our commitment to providing modern, sustainable, and culturally inspired housing that supports AlUla’s long-term growth.”
