From electric to hydrogen: Aurora captures motorsport history in the Saudi desert

Aurora Media Worldwide has been named Host Broadcast Partner for two landmark motorsport events in Qiddiya City, Saudi Arabia: the Extreme E Final Lap Desert X Prix (October 4–5) and the debut of the FIA Extreme H World Cup (October 9–11), the world’s first hydrogen-powered motorsport championship.

The Extreme H World Cup represents a major step forward in sustainable racing, showcasing hydrogen fuel cell technology as a clean-energy alternative while maintaining the series’ unique equal-gender driver format. Aurora has worked with Extreme E since its inception, building a reputation for innovative sports coverage that emphasizes sustainability and storytelling.

Extreme H raises the bar again, combining hydrogen technology with an equal-gender format at a purpose-built venue.
