Luxury wellness brand Miraval has revealed details of its first international resort, set to open on Shura Island as part of Saudi Arabia’s ambitious Red Sea development. This marks the brand’s expansion beyond the United States, where it currently operates three acclaimed wellness resorts in Arizona, Texas, and Massachusetts.

Miraval The Red Sea will feature a 160-room resort hotel and 20 private branded residences, blending immersive well-being experiences with world-class hospitality. The project is being developed in collaboration with Red Sea Global, part of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund and a key player in the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 tourism strategy.

Largest Spa on Shura Island

At the heart of the resort will be a 3,716-square-meter Life in Balance Spa, inspired by Miraval’s flagship property in Arizona. The spa will include 39 indoor and outdoor treatment rooms, making it the largest on Shura Island. It will offer a wide range of holistic therapies, including sensory showers, quiet lounges, and a traditional hammam.

Complementing the spa experience, the Serenity Centre will host indoor aerial yoga, outdoor yoga decks, and group activities like breathwork sessions, wellness counseling, and specialist-led retreats. Meanwhile, the Body Mindfulness Centre will include a state-of-the-art Technogym facility, Pilates, HIIT sessions, and other movement-based classes.

Designed for Wellness and Intention

“It's an honor to celebrate 30 years of the Miraval brand’s transformative wellbeing experiences on a global stage through Miraval The Red Sea,” said Juan Paolo Alfonso, General Manager of the upcoming resort. “This launch not only represents our first property outside the U.S. but also a unique opportunity for guests and residents to invest in a sanctuary dedicated to intentional living and personal growth.”
