French manager to assume position of Neom SC’s new head coach
Christophe Galtier is on the verge of becoming the new head coach of Neom SC, with the Saudi Pro League club finalizing a deal that will see him stay through 2027, according to reports from French media outlet L’Équipe.
The 57-year-old French manager, who recently
concluded a two-year stint in Qatar with Al-Duhail, where he won the 2024–25
Qatari Stars Cup, is now set to move to Saudi Arabia's ambitious football
project in Tabuk. Neom SC, freshly promoted to the Saudi Pro League after
topping the First Division last season, is finalizing the terms of his
appointment, which is expected to be officially announced soon.

Galtier has been without a managerial role
since leaving Al-Duhail in May, but his extensive coaching
experience—particularly his success in Ligue 1—makes him a valuable addition to
Neom’s technical team. Galtier previously won two Ligue 1 titles: the first
with Lille in the 2020–21 season and the second with Paris Saint-Germain in
2022–23.
In addition to his managerial expertise,
Galtier will also be reunited with a familiar face: Alexandre Lacazette. The
former Lyon striker, now 34, is set to join Neom SC after leaving his long-time
club in France. Lacazette’s top-tier experience will likely be integral to
Galtier’s plans as they look to build a competitive squad for their first
top-flight campaign.
