Neom SC looking to secure Leon Bailey for £25M

Jamaican winger Leon Bailey is reportedly on the verge of joining Neom SC in a £25 million summer transfer from Aston Villa, according to The Sun. The newly formed Saudi Pro League club is keen to bolster its squad ahead of its debut campaign, and Bailey has emerged as a key target.

Talks between Bailey’s representatives and Neom SC are already underway, with the Saudi side offering a tax-free contract worth £10 million per year—a deal described as "life-changing" for the 27-year-old.

Mixed Spell at Aston Villa

Bailey joined Aston Villa from Bayer Leverkusen in 2021 with high expectations, but his tenure has been inconsistent. Despite moments of brilliance, his form dipped in the 2024/25 season, recording just two goals and seven assists in 38 appearances across all competitions.

With playing time limited to 2,072 minutes last season, Aston Villa appear open to selling the Jamaican international this summer.

Neom SC or Spurs?

While Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with the winger, Neom SC seems to be in pole position. The ambitious Saudi club is reportedly ready to meet Aston Villa’s asking price and offer Bailey a lucrative long-term contract.

With the Premier League side prepared to offload him, a move to Saudi Arabia now looks increasingly likely.
