Chedi Hegra Hotel opens at Saudi Arabia's UNESCO World Heritage Site
The Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) has announced the grand opening of the Chedi
Hegra Hotel, located within the historic Hegra Archaeological Site, Saudi
Arabia's first UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Chedi Hegra Hotel marks a significant step in AlUla’s evolution into a
premier global tourist destination. The property features 35 rooms, each
thoughtfully designed to blend luxury with the natural beauty of the
surrounding landscape. The hotel’s architecture integrates existing structures,
such as the historic railway station, preserving the region’s rich cultural
heritage while incorporating modern design elements.

Guests can enjoy three unique dining experiences, each offering stunning
views of the area’s breathtaking scenery. In addition, the hotel boasts a
heritage gallery, a wellness center, and a traditional Saudi coffee house.
One of the hotel’s main dining spaces is housed in the restored railway
station, with a rare 1906 carriage serving as its centerpiece. The preserved
train maintenance area can also be admired through a glass floor, offering a
glimpse into the site’s history.
