Saudi E-Delivery sector records immense growth
Recent data from Saudi Arabia's commerce ministry reveals a
remarkable surge in demand for online delivery services, with a staggering 61%
increase in the number of registered e-delivery businesses across the Kingdom.
The figures, outlined in a sectoral bulletin, indicate a
substantial rise from 2,903 e-delivery companies in Q4 of 2023 to 4,699 in Q1
of 2024, highlighting the rapid expansion of this sector.

Riyadh leads the charge with the highest concentration of
e-delivery companies at 2,473, followed by Makkah (1,253), the Eastern Province
(468), Madinah (137), and Al-Qassim (114).
Simultaneously, the burgeoning e-delivery landscape mirrors
significant growth in the Kingdom's e-commerce sector. Between the final
quarter of 2023 and the first three months of 2024, registered e-commerce
businesses witnessed a notable 17% increase, soaring from 33,074 to 38,850.
Notably, Riyadh, Makkah, and the Eastern regions have
experienced particularly robust growth in this domain.
