Red Sea Global Nursery celebrates success with cultivation
of 5 million plants in 3 Years
In an impressive feat of horticulture, the expansive Red Sea Global nursery has thrived since its launch three years ago, successfully cultivating a staggering 5 million plants.
Operating at full capacity, this 1 million square meter nursery, the largest in the region, is poised to exceed expectations by producing over 30 million plants.
The extensive collection of flora, including local plants, flowers, and various greenery, will find new homes in Saudi resorts, hotels, and other projects, contributing to the development of the Red Sea and Amaala destinations.

Notably, the majority of plants in the nursery are indigenous species, well-adapted to the Red Sea climate, encompassing coastal and inland conditions. The addition of desert species follows thorough assessments to ensure harmonious coexistence with local flora and fauna.
Muteb Al-Osaimi, the senior manager of the nursery, emphasized the complexity of combating desertification, describing it as an opportunity to transcend reasonable limits, elevate sustainability standards, and collaborate with an international team of environmental experts. Al-Osaimi highlighted the contribution to crafting beautiful destinations, designing captivating landscapes, creating inviting spaces for visitors to unwind, and fostering flourishing wildlife.
