Aetcon wins $155 million
contract for NEOM Power Transmission Line

Arabian Electrical Transmission Line Contracting (Aetcon) has triumphed in
securing a pivotal contract for the construction of a high-voltage direct
current (HVDC) transmission line within Saudi Arabia's visionary city, NEOM.
Esteemed at $155
million, this contract forms an integral part of the 'Saudi Neom-Yanbu 525kV
HVDC Transmission Line Construction Project' and has been bestowed by the Saudi
Electricity Company.
The undertaking
encompasses an expansion of the power network through the erection of an HVDC
transmission line spanning a considerable distance of 605 km. The line will
extend from Yanbu, a prominent power generation hub situated along the western
shoreline of Saudi Arabia, to the nascent city of NEOM.
Anticipated to conclude in July 2027, the project's realization is poised to bolster the region's power infrastructure and contribute to the transformative vision of NEOM.
