Saudi Vision positively impacts the number of tourists to AlUla

AlUla Governorate recorded more than 240,000 visitors by the third quarter of 2025, with average tourist spending rising to approximately SAR 2,100—well above the projected target of SAR 1,400.

According to the 2026 budget statement, this strong performance highlights the positive impact of Saudi Vision 2030 on the tourism sector and reinforces AlUla’s continued evolution as a leading global destination for heritage, culture, and historical tourism.

The Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) has outlined new objectives, including the development of an index to measure total daily tourist expenditure, with a target value of SAR 1.6 billion, as well as an index to assess AlUla’s contribution to GDP.
