Saudi Arabia: Shura Island to feature three coral shaped luxury hotels

Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Global is set to welcome guests to Shura Island with the launch of its first three luxury hotels, designed under the “Coral Bloom” concept by Foster + Partners. The openings mark a major milestone for the developer as it prepares to unveil a total of 11 world-class resorts on the island in the coming months.

The first properties to open include SLS Red Sea, The Red Sea EDITION, and InterContinental The Red Sea Resort, all located along the island’s new Shura Links — the kingdom’s first island-based golf course.

·         SLS Red Sea will feature 150 rooms and villas, including beachfront and overwater options, blending natural beauty with the brand’s signature style.

·         The Red Sea EDITION will offer 250 rooms, including 53 suites, along with a luxury spa, multiple dining venues, and access to watersports and golf.

·         InterContinental The Red Sea Resort is a five-star property with 178 rooms and 32 suites, five dining outlets, wellness facilities, and design elements inspired by the coral reefs.

Visitors will be able to reach Shura Island either via its marina or through the 3.3 km Shura Crossing by electric vehicle.

These three hotels form part of the wider Shura Island masterplan, which will eventually include eight additional luxury brands such as Faena, Fairmont, Four Seasons, Jumeirah, Miraval, Grand Hyatt, Rosewood, and Raffles.
