NEOM committed to promote Web3 innovation in Saudi Arabia

NEOM and the National Technology Development Program (NTDP) have joined forces to foster the growth of the Web3 ecosystem in Saudi Arabia. This strategic partnership combines their expertise and resources to develop accelerator programs that provide mentorship, funding opportunities, and industry connections for emerging startups.

The collaboration's first milestone is the launch of the FutureSpark Base Camp Accelerator Program, Saudi Arabia's inaugural deep-tech Web3 accelerator. Delivered in partnership with Outlier Ventures, the world’s leading Web3 accelerator, the program selected ten startups for its first cohort through a rigorous application process hosted on Outlier Ventures’ platform.

The 12-week accelerator program, which began in October 2024 in Riyadh, culminated in a four-day workshop at NEOM from January 12-15, 2025. Participants were equipped to refine their business models and enhance their market strategies, receiving tailored mentorship and guidance from industry experts. By fostering a collaborative environment, the program provides startups with the insights and resources needed to succeed in the fast-evolving Web3 landscape.

Startups benefited from Outlier Ventures’ expertise through workshops, networking opportunities, and hands-on support. The program emphasized critical areas such as cognitive cities, artificial intelligence (AI), digital identity, and gaming—industries where the region demonstrates emerging potential.
