Italian luxury fashion designer and entrepreneur Brunello Cucinelli recently participated in an insightful event at AlUla, hosted by Saudi Arabia’s Cultural Development Fund in collaboration with the Fashion Commission. The gathering highlighted key issues in the fashion industry, including innovation, sustainability, and cultural exchange.

During a panel titled "Brunello Cucinelli: From Castel Rigone to the World," Cucinelli discussed the evolution of his career and the broader themes shaping the future of fashion. His conversation covered a range of topics, from building a global fashion brand to integrating heritage with modern innovation. He also shared his views on sustainability in luxury fashion, the importance of social responsibility, and how cultural exchange can influence design.

Cucinelli emphasized that craftsmanship is at the heart of both sustainability and authenticity in fashion, stressing the importance of quality over quantity and the value of creating products that stand the test of time.

This event is part of the Cultural Development Fund’s ongoing efforts to enhance the managerial, financial, and technical skills of creatives in Saudi Arabia, helping to reduce startup costs and ensuring the long-term sustainability of creative endeavors in the cultural sector.

Earlier in November, the Fund signed credit agreements worth over SR30 million (approximately $8 million) to finance Saudi fashion projects, fostering growth and job creation in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
