Qiddiya to train Saudi youth to improve their employability
In a bid to enhance career opportunities in the Kingdom, Qiddiya Investment
Company has unveiled the "Playmakers Training Programs," as reported
by the Saudi Press Agency.
These programs are accessible to individuals from diverse educational
backgrounds, with a minimum requirement of a high school diploma. Participants
who successfully complete the training will be offered job placements at
Qiddiya.
Abdullah Aldawood, managing director of Qiddiya Investment Company,
expressed enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, “We are excited to launch the
‘Playmakers Training Programs,’ which mark a significant milestone in our
mission to cultivate Saudi talent and create a vibrant, skilled workforce for
the entertainment, hospitality, sports, and cultural sectors.”

The programs offer a wide array of training opportunities tailored to
various career paths. From short courses to vocational training and higher
education degrees, these offerings are designed to prepare participants for
roles at Qiddiya City attractions, including Six Flags, Aquarabia, and Speed
Park Track.
Qiddiya has established memoranda of understanding with leading global and
local training partners in entertainment and hospitality, with plans to expand
partnerships for future training phases. The initial set of programs will focus
on the entertainment and hospitality sectors, with additional offerings in
sports and culture planned for the future.
The initiative is also supported by collaborations with government and
non-profit organizations aimed at upskilling the Kingdom's future workforce.
Qiddiya has launched an online platform that provides detailed information
about available training programs, allowing interested candidates to explore
options and submit applications.

Qiddiya anticipates creating 325,000 jobs within Qiddiya City and an
additional 22,000 jobs throughout the Kingdom via Saudi Entertainment Ventures.
Launched in 2018 by King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Qiddiya City is an ambitious
entertainment project located in the Tuwaiq mountains, approximately 40 minutes
from Riyadh. The development will feature 25 districts, including entertainment
zones, sports and cultural venues, mixed-use areas, and residential communities,
and is projected to accommodate over 600,000 residents.
