Visionary leadership boosting development of Qiddiya City
Abdullah Aldawood
serves as the CEO and Managing Director of Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC), a
rapidly expanding organization spearheading the development of Qiddiya City—a
visionary new destination adjacent to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Rooted in the
'Power of Play' philosophy, Qiddiya City aims to redefine urban living by
integrating play into the very fabric of the city. Under Aldawood’s leadership,
QIC has grown to over 1,000 employees from more than 50 countries, with
hundreds of new executives joining annually to support the ambitious scale of
the project.
Aldawood brings a strong track record of successful leadership in the
Kingdom, having previously transformed Seera Holding Group from a traditional
travel agency into a cutting-edge enterprise encompassing travel, tourism,
hospitality, and technology. In addition to his role at QIC, Aldawood chairs
the Saudi Entertainment Ventures Company (SEVEN), which is in the process of
constructing 20 entertainment complexes across Saudi Arabia.
Qiddiya City,
located in the stunning Tuwaiq Mountains, is more than just a city—it is a
direct embodiment of Vision 2030. The 'Power of Play' philosophy guiding its
development is built on the belief that play can significantly enhance the
quality of life, promoting well-being and happiness. QIC collaborates with
hundreds of the world’s most innovative companies across various industries to
bring this vision to life, creating a city where work and play seamlessly
