Saudi Arabia’s Neom extends partnership with AFC for another five years
The Asian Football Confederation
(AFC) and Saudi smart city Neom have agreed to extend their partnership for
another five years, until 2029. As part of the deal, Neom will continue its
role as a global partner for AFC's national team and club competitions.
Additionally, Neom will be the presenting partner for the inaugural AFC Women's
Champions League.
The partnership, which began in
2021, aligns with Saudi Arabia's successful bid to host the 2027 Asian Cup.
This extension coincides with the AFC's overhaul of its club tournaments,
including the introduction of the AFC Champions League Elite Finals starting in
2025, with the first edition concluding in Riyadh.
