Following the release of the firm's
latest report, titled "Digital acceleration: Fueling the ambition for
transformation success in Saudi Arabia," Marwan Khamis, a partner at PwC
Middle East, underscored to Arab News the pivotal role of emerging digital
technologies in realizing sustainable growth and strategic objectives for
organizations within the Kingdom.
Khamis emphasized that as
organizations approach the midway point of Saudi Vision 2030, there is a
concerted effort to adopt transformative initiatives, with a particular focus
on harnessing emerging technologies like generative artificial intelligence,
known as GenAI, to bolster decision-making, efficiency, resource utilization,
and compliance.

Addressing attendees at the Global
Project Management Forum in Riyadh, Khamis highlighted the increasing
importance of AI, noting that a recent survey conducted by PwC revealed that 73
percent of CEOs in the Middle East believe AI adoption is necessary within the
next three years to ensure the delivery of desired outcomes.
GenAI, as outlined in the report,
holds significant promise in automating routine tasks and streamlining project
management processes, thereby enabling organizations to allocate more attention
to strategic growth initiatives and fostering strong client relationships.
Through the integration of real-time
data and advanced training programs, GenAI empowers businesses to analyze vast
datasets, pinpoint operational efficiencies, and redefine industry standards.
