Diriyah launches second Rawi Diriyah competition of storytelling
Diriyah has initiated the second Rawi Diriyah competition,
inviting middle and high school students to participate in celebrating Saudi
Arabia's rich culture and heritage through storytelling. This competition,
organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, will continue until
January 2024, with registration open until November 14.
The Rawi Diriyah competition's primary objective is to
showcase and promote Saudi Arabia's cultural and heritage treasures through the
art of storytelling. By preserving narratives about Diriyah and Saudi Arabia,

This competition serves as a platform to foster Saudi
culture among the nation's youth and inspire a new generation of storytellers
to uphold Diriyah's heritage, aligning with the goals of the Vision 2030
national development and diversification plan. It aims to honor the region's
rich history and heritage while nurturing storytelling skills among young
participants, equipping them with valuable life skills, and fostering a sense
of community.

Inzerillo, expressed the significance of these middle and high school students
to the initiative.

The inaugural Rawi Diriyah competition, launched in late
2020, garnered the participation of 250,000 students. A panel of judges
selected 12 finalists who shared their stories about historic Saudi figures,
characters, and traditions during an awards event held against the picturesque
backdrop of historic At-Turaif.
