Saudi National Day marks accomplishments under Vision 2030  

Saudi Arabia marked its 95th National Day by celebrating record-breaking achievements across economy, tourism, health, education, and global rankings under Vision 2030.

According to the 2024 annual report, 85% of Vision 2030 initiatives are completed or progressing on schedule, with 93% of national program indicators meeting or exceeding interim targets. Early achievements include over 100 million tourists, eight UNESCO World Heritage Sites, 1.2 million volunteers, and women’s labor force participation at 33.5%, surpassing the 2030 goal.

The Kingdom also advanced in global digital rankings, placing 7th in UN e-participation and 6th in e-government, ahead of Vision 2030 targets.

Saudi Arabia recorded 16.92 million Umrah pilgrims in 2024 and home ownership reached 65.4%, exceeding the 2025 target. Healthcare coverage rose to 96.4%, while the Public Investment Fund grew to SR3.53 trillion, and private sector contribution to GDP reached 47%.

Education and innovation milestones include four universities in the global top 500, King Saud University ranking 90th, and Saudi students winning 114 international awards. In healthcare, the Virtual Health Hospital earned a Guinness World Record, and 16 cities were certified “healthy cities.”

Saudi Arabia secured 2034 FIFA World Cup hosting rights, launched the Esports World Cup, expanded e-visa access, and achieved record international tourism revenue growth. Green initiatives included 115 million trees planted, 7,800 endangered animals reintroduced, and 118,000 hectares of land rehabilitated.

In 2025, non-oil activities exceeded SR4.5 trillion, the Saudi riyal symbol was officially approved, and the Kingdom earned recognition as “Country of the Year 2025” by StartupBlink for innovation and entrepreneurship.
