Neom supported program trains startups
Outlier Ventures, a global leader in
deep tech Web3 acceleration, has successfully wrapped up its first-ever FutureSpark
Base Camp in Riyadh. This groundbreaking program, conducted in strategic
partnership with Saudi Arabia’s National Technology Development Program (NTDP)
and supported by NEOM, marked Saudi Arabia’s first deep tech Web3 accelerator.
It reflects Outlier Ventures’ dedication to fostering global Web3 innovation
and advancing regional technological growth.
With an acceptance rate of under 2%,
the application process was highly competitive. The diverse cohort featured
startups from Saudi Arabia, the United States, the United Kingdom, the United
Arab Emirates, Portugal, and the Marshall Islands.
The selected projects spanned a
range of cutting-edge sectors, including Gaming, Artificial Intelligence (AI),
Payment Solutions, Real World Assets (RWA), and Digital Identity. These sectors
align with Outlier Ventures’ Post Web thesis, positioning participants to play
pivotal roles in shaping the internet's future.

Vision 2030 embraces Silicon Valley in tech revolution
Launched in October 2024, the
FutureSpark Base Camp aimed to accelerate startup growth by offering tailored
support across token design, engineering, legal, marketing, and financial
strategies. Participants also benefited from networking opportunities and
mentorship from industry leaders. A four-day intensive workshop held in NEOM in
January further enriched the program.
The accelerator culminated with an
in-person Demo Day in Riyadh, where founders from startups such as Astra
Nova, Byzanlink, Feed Protocol, Kodex, LIFT, Ouroboro Labs, Sorbet, Waslah, and
YalGamers presented their innovative solutions to an audience of over 200
distinguished guests, including investors, venture capitalists, and key
government officials.
Notable speakers at the event
included Ibrahim Neyaz, CEO of the NTDP, and Stephan Apel, Founding Partner and
CEO of Outlier Ventures. In addition, a virtual Demo Day held in February
expanded the cohort’s reach, offering participants the chance to showcase their
ventures to a global audience.

Stephan Apel shared, “The
FutureSpark program supported an exceptional cohort of founders in the Kingdom,
backed by our world-class Web3 experts. Watching the progress of these founders
over the 12-week journey has been truly inspiring. At the core of FutureSpark
Base Camp is a passion for Web3 innovation that fuels the ecosystem. We are
honored to launch our first Middle Eastern accelerator in the Kingdom and
collaborate with prestigious partners like NTDP and NEOM, who continue to
empower these founders. We look forward to seeing the ongoing success and growth
of this pioneering cohort.”
